Wash Off Colour with Ease This Holi

holi

When you think of Holi images of people smeared with colours come to mind. While playing with colours is fun taking it out is a hassle. And, you begin repenting why did you play with the colours in the first place. Don’t fret, as My Health Guardian comes to your rescue.

When buying colours go for plant based organic colours. They do come at higher price, but you wouldn’t need to work hard to get it off. But, the real problem comes from pucca colours which our friends and family might bring with them. The easier way out is that when someone comes to colour you, offer your own colour and duck from the chemical colours.

Colorama

However, at times this can be difficult. Hence, on waking up in the morning, generously smear yourself from hair to toe with coconut oil. Coconut oil forms a protective film on your skin and doesn’t let the colour to seep in. Apply nail paint on your nails and protect it from the stain of colours. When taking off colours use paste made of besan and milk and smear it on the coloured parts of your body. Milk deep cleanses your skin. When the paste is partially dry then start scrubbing it off your skin. Your half battle is won, because most of the colour will come off. In a bid to take off the colour completely do not go for harsh detergent based soaps as they will strip your skin off the natural moisture. A super fatted soap like Dove, Pears and Xtracare will help you remove the remnants of the colour without drying it.

Tress Trouble

Sometimes people put dry colours on the hair and when you start washing it, coloured water keeps coming down. The best way is to stop people from doing this to your lovely tresses, but if a friend has done it, we will tell you how to get the colour off. Put some beaten yoghurt and lemon juice in your hair for fifteen minutes. Then wash off your hair with plain water till the coloured water stops coming. Later shampoo and condition your hair.

Use a body scrub to clean the exposed parts of your body. Once your elaborate bathing ritual is over, moisturize your skin well, while it’s still damp. Before you go out in the evening try a deep clean face mask to bring out last traces of colour from your skin.

Armed with these tips, this Holi you wouldn’t face trouble in getting off the colour.
