Home Remedies for Pigmentation

Your dermatologist has several methods in his (her) armour to remove the pigmentation on your skin. But there are several tips that are tumbling right from the grandma’s kitchen to help you tide over the blemishes and flaws. Keep reading…
1. Papaya. Papaya is good for your eyesight, digestion and now it will help you acquire that even skin tone too. Mash overripe papaya and blend it with oatmeal powder. Wear it on your face and exposed body parts, where the skin tone is darker. Wash off with warm water after fifteen minutes. Use it thrice a week for at least a month to gauge noticeable results.
2. Lemon juice. Lemon juice is effective in removing pigments from your skin. Cut a slice and rub it on the pigmented area. Let it dry and wash off later. Follow up with a moisturizer.
3. Orange peel. Dried orange peel is useful in removing blemishes from your skin. Dry orange peel in shade and pound it in a mortar. Mix it with yoghurt/ rosewater and wash it off later.
4. Potato. Grate potato, and wrap it in muslin to squeeze the juice. Mix it with honey and apply on your face. The maks will become less visible and sun tan too will begin to fade.
5. Turmeric. For centuries women used turmeric, sandalwood and gram flour paste to obtain flawless complexion. You can procure raw turmeric from the vegetable vendor for enhanced efficacy.
6. Almonds. Soak almonds in water overnight. In the morning peel them off, make a paste and add some honey and lemon juice to it. It you apply this everyday on your skin for 15 minutes; you can get a beautiful blemish free skin with a clear complexion.
7. Curd. Curd is enriched with lactic acid. It is a good exfoliating agent and deep cleans your skin at the same time. Beat curd and wear it on your face. Stay in a warm room for ten minutes and then wash off your face. The results are going to astound you.1
