Bye-bye weight gain

Body Watch

All those people who are on a diet and are trying to keep weight off find this time particularly trying. These simple easy to do tips will help you keep the calories off and consequently the weight.

 Exercise discretion. Just because there is a spread, it does not mean you are obligated to try out everything.

 Have something before you leave your home to the place of party. A bowl of soup, a platter of veggies or warm milk with nuts will stave off your hunger by the time you reach the venue. When you are not ravenous, there is greater likelihood of sticking to the diet plan.

 Stay away from super sweet relatives who receive gratification only after busting your diet plans. Parties are meant to mingle with people. Use it for its ulterior motives. This way you will be able to fend off pressure tactics of people whose sole agenda is to push calorie-laden gajar ka halwa down your gullet.

 Decide in advance, what you will eat at the party- snacks or the main-course, or a combination of both.

 Watch the portion size, and try to fill your plate from the salad bar.

 Each drink counts. Irrespective of the source a calorie is a calorie. Four ounces of wine has 80 calories and one shot of liquer has 65 calories.

 Most importantly, eat all your meals the day you have to go to a party. This way you can avoid over-stuffing yourself.

Armed with these tips you will have a saner and leaner celebration time this year.  And if you are one of those who start with good intentions but finally succumb to the gourmet spread, you needn’t worry because you can still keep unwanted calories away with X-tra Slim, a meal replacement drink.
