Foods to Avoid in Cold

Any food or beverage is fine to eat if you’re hungry or thirsty however, if you have flu you must get choosy and try avoid certain foods to boost immune system Five such foods that specifically need to be minimized in the change of season to avoid cold and flu are the following:
• Milk
• Cheese
• Eggs
• Refined Sugar / Sugary Sweets
• Refined Carbohydrates
Reason to avoid:
The main problem what experts claim with eggs, dairy products, refined carbohydrates, and refined sugars is twofold, they are:
• They can be very mucous forming
• They can clog up the upper respiratory system.
Unfortunately, when your upper respiratory passages get backed up, it creates an environment for bacteria and viruses to take hold and spread. Also this puts our immune system at a tremendous disadvantage, making us much more vulnerable to the cold and flu.
