What you should eat when fasting?

SABUDANA KHICHIDI
Ingredients:

1 cup sabudana(sago)
1/2 tsp Sugar
2 Green Chillies–chopped finely
1/2 cup crushed groundnuts(coarse)
1 boiled & peeled potato
2 tsp Oil
1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 Pinch Hing (asafoetida)
2 tbsp grated fresh Coconut
Rock salt to taste
Few Coriander leaves
Few Curry Leaves

Recipe

• Wash and soak sabudana in water for a minimum of two hours.
• Chop the potatoes into small cubes. Mix crushed groundnuts, sugar and rocksalt and keep aside.
• Heat the oil/ghee in a pan and add mustard seeds. When the mustard seed crackle add cumin seeds, green chillies and curry leaves.
• Add potatoes and stir well. Mix sabudana mixture and mix gently.
• Mix the grated coconut and garnish with coriander leaves.
• Sprinkle some lemon juice over it and serve hot.
Nutritious raita
Ingredients
5 Boiled and chopped waterchestnuts
1 Boiled and chopped potato
1 tbsp Whole roasted peanuts
1 Boiled and chopped sweet potato
1 tbsp Finely chopped coriander
1 Small green chilli
1/2 tsp Cumin seed powder
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds whole
1 Chopped cucumber
1 Cup yoghurt
Sugar to taste
Salt to taste
1 tsp Oil

Method
Beat the yoghurt in a deep bowl.
Add sugar, chopped chillies, cumin powder and salt. Mix well.
Add all vegetables and peanuts. Mix well.
Put it in refrigerator.
Heat one tea spoon oil.
Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter.
Pour over the raita before serving.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
